There is, quite simply, no way to adequately describe the work of the legendary photographer Don Hunter, who passed away last year. So, we’ll let it speak for itself. Each Wednesday, a new piece of artwork from Don’s amazing collection will be featured on stockcarhistoryonline.com.
Don began work at his hometown newspaper in Asheville N.C. in 1954, and five years later, went to work for the Charlotte News. Don’s work was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 1967, and the image, of a man fleeing from a burning home, is now on permanent display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
