Original scoring system

Wonder what today's leader board would look like if the origianl point system was used? Something to contemplate. Anyone out there with the time to convert the standings (minus the Chase re-start)?

If I'm not mistaken, if we were racing under the previous point system, Jeff Gordon would now be a six-time Cup champion. Don't hold me to that, but that's what Spun Out and Half Turned Over co-host Dennis Punch says, and as we all know, I always take him at his word!

Glad to hear Dennis has it figured out. With the original scoring formula being as complicated as it was I wasn't sure anyone could do it. "Pat on the back" to Dennis
