All seven of Richard Petty’s Daytona 500 victories are covered, including the infamous 1979 race in which leaders Donnie Allison and Cale Yarborough wreck on the last lap.
You can see what Tiny Lund’s heroic win in 1963 looked like on TV, and you can see the vibrant colors of the cars driven by Pete Hamilton and David Pearson during their duel in the 1970 edition of “The Great American Race.”
All of the races that eluded Dale Earnhardt are featured, among them 1990, when he cut a tire in turn three on the very last lap, handing the shocking victory to Derrike Cope. Out of respect to the Earnhardt family, footage of the seven-time NASCAR champion’s 2001 fatal accident is not included in this set.
